Implementing UrbanSim is a lengthy, complex, but rewarding process mixing data collection, model estimation, software adaptation and system calibration. Following on from the successful first meeting, now being reported in a special issue of the journal of "Transport and Land Use", I am happy to announce the second informal user meeting to be held from 17-20 May 2010 at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich. Prof. Paul Waddell has agreed to join us and to report on the latest advances (shift to parcels, home and work location linkage, model estimation tools etc.). The seminar will consist of two parts:
- UrbanSim user meeting from Monday 17.5. morning to Tuesday 18.5. noon
(1.5 days)
As last time the user meeting is an opportunity to present current projects and applications of UrbanSim.
If you want to present, please submit a short abstract (max. 300 words) to us by April 1st 2010. - UrbanSim
tutorial from Tuesday 18.5. noon to Thursday 20.5. noon (2 Days)
For the tutorial part we will have lectures and demonstrations given by UrbanSim developers.
